Possession of child porn leads to 2 unrelated arrests; Arrest in stolen prescription meds; daily incident report

02-16-11 Possession of child porn leads to 2 unrelated arrests; Arrest in stolen prescription meds; daily incident report

    Arrested: Mark L. Ellis, 41, Boise

    Charge: Possession of sexually exploitative material (F) ISC 18-1507(a)

    Boise Police were contacted by Probation and Parole Officers on April 5th of last year, who reported that during a 4th amendment waiver search  of the residence of a parolee, suspect Mark Lee Ellis, numerous DVDs containing possible child pornography were located. The suspect was on parole for a drug (meth) charge as well as a previous charge of sexually exploitative material. The case was forwarded to a BPD detective in the Crimes Against Persosn Unit who is specifically assigned to investigate Internet crimes against children. By that time, April 10, 2010, the suspect had been returned to the custody of the Idaho Dept. of Corrections for a parole violation. Further investigation revealed the DVDs possessed by the suspect did contain images and videos of child sexual abuse. The detectives report was sent to prosecutors who issued an arrest warrant on the suspect. The warrant was served on the suspect in the Ada County Jail where he remains incarcerated.

    Arrested: Michael D. Morgan, 45, Boise

    Charge: Sexual Exploitation of a Child (F) ISC 18-1507

    Boise Police served a search warrant on the collage area home of the suspect in early September, 2010 as part of an ongoing investigation into sexually exploitative materials on the Internet. The investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of downloaded video files of sexual abuse involving children. Officers forwarded their report to prosecutors who issued an arrest warrant for the suspect. The warrant was served Tuesday and the suspect was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

    Arrested: Crystal C. Dean, 33, Boise

    Charges: Possession of a schedule III drug without a prescription (m), Burglary (F), Parole violation (F)

    Boise Police were called Tuesday afternoon, Feb 15th, by the victim in this case reporting the theft of prescription drugs from a home. Drugs taken included hydrocodone and acetaminophen, schedule III drugs. Following up on information obtained during the investigation, officers went to the suspects home near Fariview Ave and N. Raymond St. The suspect Dean is on probation and agreed to allow officers to search her apartment. During the search, officers found prescription bottles with the victim's name on the label. The suspect is accused of entering the victim's home without permission and taking the prescription meds. The victim and suspect are known to each other. The suspect was arrested on the above charges and booked into the Ada County Jail.

    Arrested: Willie James English, Jr., 54, Boise

    Charges: Possession of a controlled substance - meth (F), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m), Parole Agents warrant

    Boise Police assisted Probation and Parole officers conducted a 4th amendment waiver search on the suspects residence Tuesday afternoon on the 6700 blk of W. Fairview Ave. Officers found a white crystal powder in the suspect's bedroom, along with a glass pipe. Officers also obtained evidence the items belonged to the suspect. The white crystal powder field tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. English was arrested and booked on the above charges.

    Arrested: Steve E. George, 63, Nampa

    Charge: Grand Theft by possession (F)

    Boise Police were called by the victim January 3rd of this year reporting that a bag containing cash and a check book had just been taken from his home near S. Curtis and W. Overland Roads. Investigating officers gathered evidence that led to an acquaintance of the victim. Officers believe the suspect, who was in the victim's home the morning of the theft, took the bag from a drawer without the victim's knowledge. Officers forwarded their report to prosecutors who issued an arrest warrant for the suspect. George was arrested Tuesday on the above charge.
