Arrested: Jeremy C. Stirm, 40, Middleton

Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

Boise Police arrested the suspect yesterday, after officers witnessed dangerous driving on Boise streets. A Boise Police officer in an unmarked vehicle was traveling through a parking lot near Cole and Ustick. yesterday, February 10th, at approximately 6:00 p.m. The officer was nearly struck head on by the suspect's vehicle, forcing the officer to swerve out of his way. The officer saw the suspect vehicle exit the parking lot onto Cole road without stopping or signaling the turn. The vehicle went North on Cole, weaving in and out of traffic, before coming to a stop at a light located at Cole and Mountain View. When the light turned green the suspect vehicle sat at the intersection for several seconds, having stalled, before restarting and proceeding through the light. The officer observed several other violations including crossing the center line, following too close and failing to signal lane changes before officers in a marked police unit stopped the vehicle in a parking lot near Glenwood and Chinden. The suspect, who appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance at the time, was found to be in possession of 3 hypodermic syringes and a baggie containing approximately .6 grams total package weight of meth. At the Ada County Jail the suspect provided a urine sample for later evidentiary testing. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
