Arrested: Benjamin E. Krause, 28, Boise
Charges: Forgery (F), Criminal possession of a financial transaction card (F)

    Boise Police financial crimes detectives are investigating after a counterfeit $20 bill was found yesterday at a fast food restaurant on State Street.
Officers were called by employees of the restaurant who recognized the bill as phony when a Boise man tried to use it to pay for his food order. When employees asked the customer about the bill, he paid using other cash then drove off, however employees were able to get a good description of his vehicle. Officers used that description to locate the man and arrest him on the above charges.

Arrested: Fredrico Pacheco, Jr, 39, Nampa
Charge: DUI (F)

    A Boise Police Officer stopped at a signal light at 9th & Main shortly after midnight this morning saw the driver of a pick up nearly hit a woman legally crossing the street as she was about half way into a crosswalk. The driver of the pick up also swung wide as he turned south onto 9th Street. The officer waited for the woman to cross the roadway and then made a traffic stop on the pick up. The officer found the driver to have slurred speech, glossy eyes and smelled of an alcoholic beverage. The driver, Pacheco, failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Ada County Jail. Results of a breath test showed a blood alcohol of .199/.200.  Based on the .200, the driver was arrested on an enhanced DUI. Officers also found the driver had two prior DUI convictions, one in march of 2005 in Boise and the second from December, 2007 out of Canyon County, making this DUI arrest a felony.

Arrested: Jason A. Boyce, 38, Boise
Charge: DUI (F)

    A Boise Police Officer on patrol about 1:00 a.m. this morning spotted a vehicle traveling westbound on Overland with cancelled registration. The officer stopped the vehicle, approached driver and could smell the odor of an alcohol beverage coming from the driver. The driver, Boyce failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Ada County Jaill where breath test results showed a blood alcohol level of  .151 and .145. Boyce has a
prior felony DUI conviction from November, 2002, making this arrest also a felony DUI.

Warrant Arrest: Carson M. Cox, 22, Meridian
Charge: Possession of a Controlled Substance - meth (F)

    Boise Police were called to assist Probation and Parole Agents with a search of the residence of a parolee, Cox, on August 25 of last year at a home on the1300 blk of N. Hartmen. While inside the residence, a Boise Police Service Dog alerted on a backpack belonging to the suspect. Inside the backpack, officers found drug paraphernalia and baggies with a white powdery residue. The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine with an approx total package weight of .7 grams. The substance was sent to a criminal evidence lab for further testing. Results were sent to the Ada County Prosecutor, who issued a warrant for the suspect's arrest  on the above charge.

Warrant Arrest: Alma B. Lakic, 24, Boise
Charge: Possession of a Controlled Substance (F)

    A Boise Police Officer on patrol near W. Ustick Rd & N. Five Mile Rd on November 13, 2010 stopped a vehicle for expired and cancelled registration. The driver of the vehicle was on supervised felony probation and consented to a search of his vehicle and it's contents.  The suspect, Lakic was a passenger in the vehicle. A small zip-lock baggie with white residue and a green leafy substance was found inside Lakic's purse.  The green leafy substance was identified as Spice. The white powdery residue was identified as methamphetamine. The investigation was sent to the Ada County Prosecutor, who issued a warrant for the suspect's arrest on the above charge.
