    Boise, Jan. 5, 2011 - Boise Police arrested two people overnight on felony drug charges including possession of cocaine and methamphetamine. The arrests came while officers were searching for a suspect wanted on a misdemeanor warrant for a traffic fine.

    Arrested: Traci L. Montgomery (aka Traci L. Ferguson), 33, Boise

    Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance 2 cts, cocaine and methamphetamine (F); Possession of drug paraphernalia (m); Frequenting a place where drugs are used (m), Arrest warrant for Contempt of Court (guilty of driving without privileges) (m)

    Arrested: Robert W. Benjamin, 35, Meridian

    Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance - meth (F), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m); Frequenting a place where drugs are used (m), 2 Agents Warrants (suspect on felony parole)

    What Happened: Boise Police Neighborhood Contact Officers received information a suspect with an outstanding arrest warrant was staying at an address on Vista Ave. Officers went to the address, a motel, about 9:36 p.m. Tuesday night. They found the suspect, Montgomery, as well as Robert Benjamin at the motel. The suspects gave officers consent to search the motel room. Inside, officers found drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view, including a baggie containing a white powder that field tested positive for cocaine and a baggie containing white powder that field tested positive for meth.  The suspects were arrested on the above charges and booked into the Ada County Jail.
