Charges - Grand Theft (F), Possession of marijuana (m), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m), Driving without  privileges (m)

A Boise Police officer on patrol near Kootenai St. & Vista Ave. last night, January 24th, at approx 11:20 p.m., spotted a vehicle without it's headlights on. The officer made a traffic stop and found the driver, Wood had a suspended driver's license. Officers could smell the strong odor of marijuana coming from Wood's car. Officers found a small baggie of marijuana inside the car, along with paraphernalia used to smoke marijuana. Officers also found a black woman's handbag with credit cards and identification inside. Officers contacted the woman, who told them she thought she'd lost her purse at a grocery store about a month ago. After further investigation, officers found evidence the suspect had taken the purse, leading to the grand theft charge.
