No Contact Order Violation leads to Felony Drug Arrest; daily incident report

01-06-11 No Contact Order Violation leads to Felony Drug Arrest; daily incident report

Arrested: Dorothy L. Birkinbine, 46, transient
Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance - meth (F), No Contact Order Violation (m)

Boise Police patrol officers were called to a home near Barrister Drive and N. Allumbaugh Street Wednesday afternoon, Jan, 5th at 4:30 p.m. The initial call was a citizens report of a no contact order violation in progress. Officers confirmed that there was indeed a court issued no contact order between the suspect Birkinbine and the resident of the home. Once inside the home, officers did find the suspect. Her behavior and physical shaking led officers to believe the suspect may be under the influence of drugs. Further investigation found the suspect to be in possession of a baggie containing a white powdery substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. The suspect was also found in possession of syringes and other drug paraphernalia. She was arrested on the above charges and booked into the Ada County Jail.
