Injury to a Child charges;Weekend incident report

  Arrested: Larry W. Jervik, 43, Boise

   Charges: Injury to a Child (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a fight at a residence in West Boise Friday, January 14th, at approximately 2:00 a.m. After a detailed investigation Boise Police Detectives determined the suspect had struck a teenage male, leaving marks on the child. Officers have evidence that indicates alcohol may have been a factor in the incident. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Angela N. Garback, 27, Boise

   Charges: Battery on an Officer (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a woman waiving a knife and screaming on Hiill road and 19th Streets Friday, January 14th, at approximately 9:00 a.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect had entered a convenience store screaming and yelling at random people before stepping out into the street and yelling at motorists while swinging a large knife. Officers located the suspect and confronted her. Officers attempted to take the suspect into custody and she actively resisted, struggling with officers and swinging at them repeatedly. At one point, the suspect struck an officer in the head, resulting in the Battery charge.  The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

 Arrested: Aimee L. Weaver, 20, Boise

  Charges:Burglary (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

 Arrested: Emily E. Weaver, 20, Boise

  Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a West Boise residence Saturday, January 15th, at approximately 11:30 a.m. The victim tells police that her laptop computer had been stolen by Aimee Weaver earlier that week and that Aimee and Emily Weaver had been using drugs at the home where they all reside. Officers located a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the possession of the two suspects. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

 Arrested: Fabiola Velasco, 45, Ketchum

  Charges:Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 300 block of North Milwaukee Saturday, January 15th, at approximately 8:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.
