Arrested: Kelly J. Huntington, 49, Meridian

Charges: Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident (F), Driving Without Privileges (DWP)(m), Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance (m)

Boise Police responded to a collision at State and Willow last night, January 26th, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Victims tell police a small passenger car was westbound on Willow street when a large truck rear-ended the car, causing major damage. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene of the collision. An adult female passenger in the victim's vehicle was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries at the time.

A short time later a Boise Police officer observed a vehicle that matched the suspect vehicle description east of Pierce Park on State street and conducted a traffic stop. Officers determined the truck had been involved in the collision and a check through Ada County dispatch indicated the suspect was currently suspended from driving. The suspect failed to provide proof of insurance. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
