  Warrant Arrested: Dennis S. Sweat, 56, Boise

  Warrant Charges: Failure to Appear Warrant (F)

    Boise Police responded to a residence on the 3400 block of North Quail Place at approximately 7:00 p.m. yesterday, December 29th. Officers had reason to believe the suspect, who had a current felony warrant for his arrest, was in the home at the time. After evaluating the potential danger to residents in the neighborhood, members of the Boise Police Special Operations Unit (SOU), deployed gas rounds into the home in an attempt to convince the suspect to come out. After approximately 4 to 5, hours officers determined the suspect was not inside the home. 

    Approximately one hour later officers received a citizen tip that the suspect was again outside the residence. Officers deployed a Boise Police K-9 who helped take the suspect into custody. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Jamie L. Kendrick, 27, Kuna

   Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F)

    Boise Police arrested Jamie Kendrick yesterday, December 29th, during a traffic stop on the 8300 block of Overland at approximately 1:00 p.m. Officers conducted the stop as part of an ongoing investigation into the theft of items from a nearby retail store. During the investigation officers located approximately 2 grams of Meth in the suspects purse. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Erin A. Mercer, 31, Boise

   Charges:Battery on an Officer (F), Resisting and Obstructing (m), Public Intoxication (m)

     Boise Police observed a fight taking place on the 600 block of West Main early this morning, December 30th, at approximately 2:00 a.m. As officers approached three subjects, two men and a woman, the female suspect grabbed one of the officers and attempted to pull him away from the incident, ripping his police radio microphone off his shirt in the process. As officers took the female suspect into custody she continued to physically resist officers. The suspect blew a .20 at the jail resulting in the Public Intoxication charge. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Warrant Arrested: Christian W. Rankin, 40, Boise

   Warrant Charges:Lewd Conduct with a Minor (F)

   The suspect was taken into custody yesterday, December 29th, after a detailed investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct that reportedly took place over a 3 year period starting in 2003. The incident was reported to Boise Police on November 12th of this year. The victim, a juvenile female under the age of 18, tells detectives the conduct took place at a Boise Bench home. The suspect is well known to the victim and officers have no reason at this time to believe other victims are involved. The investigation into this case continues. No further information is available. Further inquires into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorneys Office.
