11-29-10 Sexual abuse of a minor, burglary and 2 felony DUI's; weekend incident report

   Arrested: Eric B. Sausman, 43, Boise

   Charges:Sexual Abuse of a Minor Child (F)

   Boise Police arrested the suspect Sunday (November 28th) after a detailed investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct that reportedly took place sometime between September and November of this year. The incident was reported to Boise Police Saturday (November 27th). The victim, juvenile female under the age of 14, tells detectives the conduct took place at a North Boise home. The suspect is well known to the victim and officers have no reason at this time to believe other victims are involved. The investigation into this case continues. No further information is available. Further inquires into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorneys Office.

    Arrested: Jose S. Rodriguez, 29, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Driving Without Privileges (DWP)(m), Probation Violation Charges

  Boise Police observed a vehicle come to a stop as it entered the oncoming lane of traffic early Saturday morning (November 27th) at approximately 1:00 a.m. Officers stopped the driver at Cleveland and Nez Perce. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .15/.15 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect was currently suspended for a felony DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Christopher J. Pasborg, 29, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

  Boise Police observed a vehicle traveling North on Collister Drive cross the fog lane into oncoming traffic Saturday evening (November 27th) at approximately 11:00 p.m. Officers stopped the driver at Collister and Catalpa. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .24/.26 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had 2 prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

 Arrested: Stephen J. Lauson, 18, Wilder

  Charges:Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 400 block of North Milwaukee Saturday (November 27th) at approximately 4:30 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed Stephen Lauson, and a juvenile male, conceal items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspects entered the store with the intent to commit the thefts, resulting in the burglary charge. The adult male suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges. The Juvenile male was issued a citation and released.

   The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.
