Man arrested for using key as weapon in bar fight; Weekend incident report

11-22-10 Man arrested for using key as weapon in bar fight; Weekend incident report

  Arrested: Jorge Alvarez Jr, 27, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Battery (F)

    Boise Police responded to a stabbing at a bar on the 2700 block of South Broadway early this morning (November 22nd) just after midnight. Multiple witnesses tell police the suspect became involved in an argument with the victim. At one point the victim, an adult male, was stabbed and cut by the suspect with a key, causing a cut on his neck and a puncture wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with what appeared at the time to be non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was located moments later walking away from the bar traveling East on Linden near Gekler. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 9 ASSAULT AND BATTERY18-907.Aggravated battery defined.(1) A person commits aggravated battery who, in committing battery:(a)  Causes great bodily harm, permanent disability or permanent disfigurement;

  Arrested: Joshua G. Boyle, 32, Boise

   Charges: Theft by Possession (F), Probation Violation charges

    Boise Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in a neighborhood near Vista and Cherry Lane Saturday (November 20th) at approximately 2:00 p.m. Officers located the vehicle and a check through Ada County dispatch indicated the vehicle was stolen. Officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Charlie R. Nuuvali, 22, Meridian

   Charges: Criminal Possession of a Financial Transaction Card (F)

    Boise Police responded to a request for assistance at a bar on the 100 block of south 6th early Sunday morning (November 21st) at approximately 1:00 a.m. Employees of the bar tell police the suspect attempted to pay using a debit card that did not belong to him. Officers located the suspect a short time later in the immediate area and verified the card did not belong to him. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Stephanie L. Akins, 31, Meridian

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

  Boise Police on patrol near Fairview and Allumbaugh observed a vehicle make a wide turn, overcorrect and strike the median early Saturday morning (November 20th) at approximately 2:30 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop and contacted the suspect. The woman, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .27/.26 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
