 Arrested: Carrie J. Gowans, 32, Boise

  Charges:Burglary (F), Injury to a Child (m)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8300 block of West Overland yesterday (October 27th) at approximately 4:30 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal DVD's and other items with the help of a small child, then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges. The child was released to a family member.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 15 CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS 18-1501.Injury to children. (2)  Any person who, under circumstances or conditions other than those likely to produce great bodily harm or death, willfully causes or permits any child to suffer, or inflicts thereon unjustifiable physical pain or mental suffering, or having the care or custody of any child, willfully causes or permits the person or health of such child to be injured, or willfully causes or permits such child to be placed in such situation that its person or health may be endangered, is guilty of a misdemeanor.

 Warrant Arrested: James Fitzgerald, 29, Boise

  Warrant Charges: Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Delivery of a Controlled Substance yesterday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the sale of marijuana from a residence on the 4400 block of West Denton Street. On September 27th of this year Officers received a citizen tip that drug activity may be taking place at the residence. Neighborhood Contact Officers made contact with the suspect at the home and recovered approximately 80 grams of Marijuana. Officers have information that indicates the suspect had offered marijuana for sale at the residence. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

 Warrant Arrested: Johnny M. Ybarra, 55, No Known Address

  Warrant Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Probation Violation charges

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance yesterday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the possession of Meth that took place on May 16th of this year. On that date officers recovered approximately 1 gram of Meth from the suspect's person. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

    Arrested: Bertha Waterhouse, 47, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

  Boise Police observed a vehicle with cancelled registration early this morning (October 28th) at approximately 1:00 a.m. Officers stopped the driver at Bella and 30th street. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .11/.11 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
