  Arrested: Colby T. Hickey, 25, Meridian

   Charges: Aggravated Battery (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at a bar on the 6100 block of West Fairview Saturday (August 14th) at approximately 2:00 a.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect had been involved in a fight with the suspect in the bar. At one point, the suspect used a broken beer bottle to stab the victim, causing a cut in the victims neck. Witnesses say the suspect then ran out the door and fled on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries at the time. Officers located the suspect hiding in the bushes on the 1100 block of North Liberty. A witness made a positive identification of the suspect. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 9 ASSAULT AND BATTERY 18-907.Aggravated battery defined. (1) A person commits aggravated battery who, in committing battery: (a)  Causes great bodily harm, permanent disability or permanent disfigurement.

  Arrested: Travis D. Brumley, 38, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Assault (F), Possession of a Firearm while Intoxicated (m), Resisting and Obstructing (m)

    Boise Police responded to a disturbance at a residence on the 600 block of north 27th Friday (August 13th) at approximately 10:30 p.m. The victim tells police she saw the suspect hiding near a fence and a parked car as he attempted to video tape her kids in the yard. The victim tells officers she approached the suspect and attempted to speak to him several times but he just ignored her. At one point, the victim states the suspect looked directly at her, produced a handgun and chambered a round. The victim tells police she then called police. Boise Police officers located the suspect crouched behind a fence and ordered him to show his hands. The suspect refused to comply and officers witnessed him place something in his waistband. The suspect eventually complied and officers recovered a loaded handgun from his person. Officers noted the odor of an alcoholic beverage and the suspect blew a .25 at the jail. The suspect was booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Billy P. Sanchez, 18, Boise

   Charges:Battery on an Officer (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m), Resisting and Obstructing (m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

    Boise Police on patrol Friday evening (August 13th) at approximately 11:00 p.m. observed a vehicle travelling with no headlights and conducted a traffic stop near Vista and Ponderosa. As officers attempted to contact the driver he exited the vehicle and refused to obey commands to stay in the vehicle. Officers attempted to control the suspect by grabbing him. The suspect shoved the officer and managed to wrestle away, fleeing on foot. The suspect was located hiding near a home a few blocks away along with his personal belongings and a scale with a small amount of marijuana in a plastic baggie.  The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Warnell T. Turner, 41, Haggerman

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Hit and Run (m), Driving Without Privileges (DWP)(m)

  Boise Police responded to a report of a hit and run collision at Curtis and Fairview Saturday (August 14th) at approximately 8:00 p.m. Witnesses say the suspect struck the rear end of the victim's vehicle, then took off. Officers located the suspect vehicle using the license plate found at the scene of the collision identifying the vehicle. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .23/.24 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had 2 prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony and currently had a suspended drivers license. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: John W. Austerberry, 40, Nampa

   Charges:Possession of a Controlled substance (Meth)(F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a suspicious person sitting in a vehicle on the 6500 block of West Everett Sunday (August 15th) at approximately 10:00 a.m. Officers made contact with the driver observed a plastic baggie in plain sight on the floorboard of the vehicle containing a small amount of Meth. A search of the vehicle revealed two more baggies with small amounts of Meth and a pipe with Meth residue on it. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Gerald O. Peachie, 40, Apple Valley CA.

   Charges:Possession of a Controlled substance (Marijuana more than 3 oz)(F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of an intoxicated subject at the corner of 8th and Fort Friday (August 13th) at approximately 11:00 p.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect had been yelling at cars and trying to get into parked cars. At one point witnesses say the suspect had made threats to patrons of a gas station near the street. Officers located the suspect sitting in a vehicle in a parking lot at 8th and Fort. As officers contacted the suspect he informed them he had marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle. Officers recovered approximately 3.6 ounces of marijuana from the vehicle. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

TITLE 37 CHAPTER 27 UNIFORM CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ARTICLE IV 37-2732.  Prohibited acts A -- Penalties. (a) Except as authorized by this chapter, it is unlawful for any person to manufacture or deliver, or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver, a controlled substance.(e)  If any person is found to possess marijuana, which for the purposes of this subsection shall be restricted to all parts of the plants of the genus Cannabis, including the extract or any preparation of cannabis which contains tetrahydrocannabinol, in an amount greater than three (3) ounces net weight, it shall be a felony and upon conviction may be imprisoned for not more than five (5) years, or fined not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or both.

  Arrested: Seth T. Long, 26, Meridian

   Charges:Possession of a Controlled substance (Prescription Medications)(F), Probation violation charges

    Boise Police responded to a citizen call of a possible intoxicated driver Friday August 13th) at approximately 11:30 p.m. Officers located the vehicle at Five Mile and Susan. As the suspect exited the vehicle, officers observed a prescription narcotic pill located in distinctive packaging on the seat were the suspect had been sitting. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
