Officers seek any additional witnesses to collision
between car & child
Boise, July 19, 2010 - Boise Police continue to
investigate a collision between a car and a 3 year old child. At
this time, officers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the
collision or has information who has not been interviewed by
officers to please call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
What Happened: Boise Police were called after
witnesses reported a child had been hit by a passing vehicle in the
street on the 4800 blk of Alpine Street at approx. 8:37 p.m. Friday
night, July 16th. Paramedics immediately took the
child to the hospital for treatment of what appeared to
officers on scene to be serious head injuries. The little
boy remains hospitalized. Officers are told the boy lives on
the street where the collision occurred. Officers are told the boy
had been outside with his family prior to the collision.
Officers found the driver whose car hit the child
was on scene when they arrived. Officers say she is being
cooperative with their investigation.
The Boise PD Crash Reconstruction Team, along
with detectives are investigating exactly how the collision
occurred. Boise Police will work with prosecutors to determine
what, if any criminal charges may be filed in connection with the
case. At this time, no citations or charges have been issued.
