    Arrested: Patrick Zavala, 32, Porterville CA.

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Driving Without Privileges (m)

  Boise Police observed a vehicle driving erratically early Sunday morning (July 18th) at approximately 12:30 a.m. Officers noticed the vehicle because it had turned onto Wright street and come to an immediate stop. The vehicle then lurched forward several times before coming to a stop approximately 100 feet from Orchard street on Wright. The vehicle was parked with the engine running and the brake lights on. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .17/.16 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had 2 prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Jack C. Steelsmith Jr, 53, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

  Boise Police observed a vehicle drifting within its lane and cross the yellow line late Friday evening (July 16th) at approximately 11:00 p.m. Officers stopped the driver at Federal Way and Victory. The suspect failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had 2 prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Michael J. Pitts, 21, Boise

    Charges:Malicious Injury to Property (F), Public Intoxication (m)

  Boise Police observed the suspect as he approached a marked Boise Police patrol vehicle parked at City Hall on 6th & Main late Friday night (July 16th) at approximately 11:45 p.m. The suspect ran up the vehicle and jumped onto the hood, sliding across the hood of the patrol car causing it to dent and putting a large scratch across the top. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, was taken into custody without incident. The damage to the vehicle is estimated to be in excess of $1,000.00. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Tommy J. Pearce, 30, Homedale

    Charges:Burglary (F)

    Arrested: Johnny Herrera III, 29, Wilder

    Charges:Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8100 block of West Franklin Friday (July 16th) at approximately 8:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the two suspects conceal items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspects entered the store with the intent to commit the thefts resulting in the burglary charge. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Brittany N. Johnson, 22, Meridian

     Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance (prescription medications)(F), Petit Theft (m)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8300 block of West Franklin Friday (July 16th) at approximately 7:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal items and then leave the store without paying for them. A search of the suspect's purse revealed several prescription pills including prescription narcotics that the suspect could not produce documentation of. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: George L. spencer, 39, Boise

    Charges:Felon in Possession of a Firearm (F), Driving Without Privileges (DWP)(m), No Proof of Liability Insurance (m)

  Boise Police observed a suspect driving on a suspended license Sunday evening (July 18th) at approximately 7:00 p.m. Officers stopped the driver at Cole and Franklin. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect was a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms of any kind. A search of the vehicle revealed a pellet rifle in the vehicle. The suspect was unable to provide proof of liability insurance. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
