    Boise Police Patrol, School Resource and Neighborhood Contact Officers working with information provided by Crime Stoppers tips identified a juvenile male involved in the malicious vandalism's that took place on July 12th. At the time, officers identified approximately 20 homes and more than a dozen vehicles that have been spray painted.

    "This is exactly the kind of citizen cooperation that keeps our neighborhoods strong, helps to prevent crime, and helps us catch those responsible when it happens." says Boise Police Officer Lance Nickerson. "We want to thank the citizens who contacted police and helped identify the responsible party."

    Officers following up on the information provided by citizens, conducted interviews and contacted citizens in the neighborhood. After a detailed investigation, officers recovered spray paint cans discarded in a nearby yard and identified the juvenile male who is under 15 years of age. The suspect could face multiple charges of Felony Malicious Injury to Property.

07-12-10 Overnight Vandalism spree; you can help

    Boise Police are asking for the public's help in catching whoever is responsible for a weekend vandalism spree in a southwest Boise neighborhood.

    "This is one of the worst cases of malicious vandalism that I have ever seen. This is a serious crime and we need to hold the person or people who did this accountable for their actions." says Boise Police Officer Lance Nickerson. 

    What happened:Some time early this morning (July 12th) between the hours of midnight and 6:00 a.m. an unknown person or persons, used silver and red spray paint to vandalise a neighborhood. The suspect sprayed curse words and rude phrases on vehicles, mailboxes, houses, trailers and street signs on west Mossy Cup and west Chinkapin Avenue, near west Victory between Maple Grove and Five Mile. At this time officers have identified approximately 20 homes and more than a dozen vehicles that have been vandalised. Officer say the vandalism does not seem to target any particular individual or group. 

    You can help:If you have any information that may help, if you saw anything out of the ordinary or a vehicle that seemed suspicious in the area last night, you are urged to contact police through non-emergency dispatch. You may remain anonymous and you could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if your information leads to arrests and felony charges.
