----------

Arrested: Jason P. Janes, 33, Filer

   Charges:Possession of a Controlled substance (Marijuana)(F), False Impersonation (m)

Boise Police responded to a report of a problem subject late last night (June 2nd) at approximately 11:50 p.m. at a store on the 7300 block of West Ustick. Witnesses tell police the suspect had been harassing customers in the parking lot of the store. Officers located the suspect in the parking lot with a backpack nearby. The suspect denied ownership of the backpack and a search of its contents revealed approximately 90 grams of marijuana in two packages. As officers interviewed the suspect a witness contacted police and said the suspect had tried to sell marijuana from the backpack to him. Other witnesses confirmed the suspect had been carrying the backpack in the parking lot prior to police arrival. During the course of the investigation officers determined the suspect had provided false identifying information to police. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Arrested: Jason R. Morris, 33, Meridian

   Charges: Grand Theft (F)

Boise Police responded to a report of theft yesterday (June 2nd) at approximately 1:00 p.m. at a retail store on the 6200 block of North Eagle road. Store managers tell police an employee had been taking money from the store using false refund receipts starting in March of this year. The estimated amount of money taken exceeds $3,000.00. After a detailed investigation the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

-----------

Warrant Arrested: Dennis M. Cruz, 35, Boise

  Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft yesterday.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a stolen laptop taken from a business on the 250 block of East Parkcenter in March of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect, who was an employee at the time, had taken the computer. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
