05-03-10 Sex Offender Arrested for Lewd Conduct; Punching an Officer Lands Man in Jail; Repeat DUI's; weekend felony arrests

Arrested: Joseph R. Clinton, 67, Boise

Charge: Lewd Conduct with a child Under 16

    Boise Police arrested a registered sex offender Friday for allegedly luring a child into his home, reportedly telling the child there were puppies inside the residence. Officers say there were no puppies, and after luring the child inside, the victim was molested. The crime allegedly occurred in the suspect's home at the trailer park at 7701 W. Ustick. The crime was reported to Boise Police in late March and allegedly occurred approx. one month prior to being reported to police. The suspect is due to be arraigned in 4th District Court today at 1:30 p.m. For more information, please refer to Ada County prosecutors or the courts.


Arrested: John B. Maddox, 24, Idaho Falls

Charges: Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer (F), Disturbing the Peace (m), Resisting and Obstructing Officers (m)

           A Boise Police Officer on foot patrol on 5th & Main at approx 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning saw two men in a physical fight. One man was punched by the other and fell into a lane of traffic on Main St. While the officer broke up the fight, a third man, the suspect John B. Maddox, punched the officer in the face. The suspect then refused to obey the officer's commands and continued to fight with officers as he was being placed under arrest.

           The two men who were fighting initially, Riley M. Maddox, 21 of Boise and James L. Hengen, 22 of Boise, were also arrested for misdemeanor charges including disturbing the peace.


Arrested: Eufemio Enriquez-Villegas, 43, Boise

Charges: DUI (F), Hit and Run (m)

           Note: This is the suspects second felony DUI. Boise Police responded to a citizens call of a hit and run collision that damaged a garage door. Witnesses heard the crash and ran out to see the vehicle driving off. Witnesses were able to give officers a description of the suspect vehicle, and said the vehicle had driven into the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex. Officers found the vehicle a short time later and located the driver. After investigating, the driver was taken  to the Ada County Jail where he blew a .161 / .158. Officers found the suspect had a previous felony DUI in 1996. He was then booked on the above charges.


Arrested: William H. Locke, 39, Boise

Charges: DUI (F), Driving without privileges (m)

           A Boise Police patrol officer driving north on Broadway early Sunday morning, approx 2:42 a.m., saw a vehicle swerving between lanes and driving approx 48 mph in a 35 mph zone. Officers made a traffic stop and found the driver showed signs of driving under the influence of alcohol. Officers also found the driver, Locke, was driving on a license suspended until 2014 from a previous DUI conviction in May of 2009. The suspect failed all field sobriety tests. A blood draw was conducted at the jail and the suspect was booked on the above charges.


Arrested: Leonard J. Williams, Jr., 34, Meridian

Charges: DUI (F), Driving without privileges (m)

           Boise Police were alerted by a citizen to a potential drunk driver on westbound Main St Saturday morning at approx. 1:27 a.m. A citizen called police dispatch reporting the driver of a silver pick up had swerved from his lane nearly hitting her car.

           A Boise Police Officer caught up to the pick up on Cole Rd. and saw the driver again swerve outside his lane nearly hitting a utility pole. The officer stopped the pick up. The driver, Williams, failed field sobriety tests and blew a .119 / .118 at the jail. A records check revealed the suspect had two prior DUI convictions in March and December of 2005 and was driving on a suspended license from those convictions.


Arrested: Raymond Carmona, Jr, 36, Boise

Charges: DUI (F), Driving without privileges (m)

           A Boise Police Officer on patrol just before midnight near Broadway & Myrtle Friday night, April 30th, saw a pick up truck driving without a headlight. Officers made a traffic stop and while talking to the driver smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage. After investigating, officers found evidence to charge the driver, Carmona, with DUI. Officers also were informed by police dispatchers the driver had a suspended license until 2011 resulting from DUI in Nevada. This was the suspects third DUI in 10 years, making the charge a felony.
