Arrested: Tommy E. Tiedemann, 27, Boise

Charges: Burglary (F), Petit Theft (m)

  Boise Police were called by two men, neighbors of one of the victims, on Sunday, May 23rd at 11:52 p.m. on the 2200 blk of S. Pond St. The two men told police they had witnessed a man, later identified as the suspect Tiedemann, taking two small mini motorcycles from their neighbor's backyard. The two men had seen the suspect walk away with the first mini motorcycle, then approached the suspect when he came back for a second one. After a brief conversation, the suspect ran off, leaving the small motorcycle behind. The witnesses called police and were able to provide the description of a car the suspect drove off in.

  A Boise Police patrol officer found the suspect driving the car a short time later. A check with the motorcycles owner found they were taken without permission. During the investigation, officers also found evidence the suspect had stolen a pair of sunglasses from a nearby convenience store and had entered the store with the intent to commit the theft. Both victims told officers they wanted to prosecute. The suspect was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

Arrested: Tyler J. Nourse, 20, transient

Charge: Parole Violation, additional charges possible pending review

  Boise Police dispatchers received information from a citizen on Sunday, May 23 at approx 3:00 p.m., that a young juvenile was being held against their will at a motel near the Boise Airport. The citizens info gave a specific motel room number. Boise Police officers were sent to investigate. During their preliminary investigation, the officers found the man had rented two adjacent motel rooms and had a recent arrest for Lewd Conduct with a minor child.

  Concerned a child may be in danger, officers went to the two motel rooms. As the officers knocked and identified themselves, they could hear chains and dead bolts being locked on the doors. When officers made entry, moments later, it appeared the occupants of the room had jumped out an open window.

  Inside the room, officers found drug paraphernalia that still had a heavy residue of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Also inside the motel room were numerous computer generated checks.

  Investigating officers found one of the suspects, identified as Henderson, walking nearby. The second suspect, Nourse, was found a short time later after he checked into another nearby motel.

  No child was located, however, officers did find clothing that appeared to belong to a young female inside the motel rooms. Officers continue to investigate this case in connection with a recently reported runaway.

Arrested: William W. Stone, 45, Boise

Charge: Assault (F), Battery (m)

  Boise Police were called by a man Saturday morning, May 22nd at approx 1;30 a.m., reporting that an acquaintance was beating and threatening him.

  When officers arrived at the home near N. 11th and Sherman Streets, the front door was open and the officers could hear two men yelling, including what sounded like one man making verbal threats to the other. Fearing someone was in danger, officers entered the home. They found a adult male with facial injuries that appeared to be caused by being in a physical fight. The suspect, Stone, was arrested on the above charges and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Lisa Kay Postlewait, 46, Boise

Charge: Burglary (F)

  Boise Police were called on Saturday, May 22nd at approx 4:30 p.m. by employees of a retailer in the area of Franklin & Milwaukee. The employees told officers they had witnessed the suspect, Postlewait, apparently using phony price tags to make fraudulent purchases. Boise Police found evidence they believe shows the suspect entered the store with intent to commit the crime resulting in the felony burglary charge. The retail store, the victim in the case, indicated to officers they wanted the victim prosecuted to the fullest extent.

Arrested: Peter Joseph Keeney, 55, Boise

Charge: Burglary (F)

  Boise Police were called by employees of a retailer on the 8300 blk of Overland on Friday afternoon, May 21st at approx 1:21 p.m. Store employees told officers they had witnessed the suspect Keeney take several items from the electronics section of the store and leave without paying for them. Boise Police found evidence they believe shows the suspect entered the store with intent to commit the crime resulting in the felony burglary charge. Officers also found the suspect was on felony probation for a similar crime.

Arrested: Samuel W. Bryant, 52, Boise

Charge: DUI (F)

  Boise Police were called by a citizen early Saturday morning, approx 2;50 a.m. May 22nd. The citizen told dispatchers the driver of a silver pick up appeared to be driving erratically and may be intoxicated. Boise Police located the vehicle near Vista and Targee Streets and made contact with the driver who smelled heavily of alcohol. The driver, Bryant, was taken to the Ada County Jail where he blew a .302/.294. because of the excessively high breathalyzer alcohol content, for the suspect's safety, they transported him to a nearby hospital. The suspect was medically cleared by hospital staff and also given a blood alcohol test. He was returned to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above charge. Because the suspect also had an excessive DUI conviction in 2006, he was booked for the felony under the excessive DUI statute.

Arrested: Andrew W. Ackerland, 23, Boise

Charge: DUI (F), Restricted license violation (m)

  Boise Police were called by a citizen early Saturday morning, approx 2:39 a.m. may 22nd. The citizen told dispatchers the driver of an older model sedan was getting into his car in a downtown parking garage and appeared to be intoxicated. A Boise Police officer saw the vehicle pull out of the garage going north of Capitol Blvd with no headlights. The officer made a traffic stop and made contact with the driver who smelled heavily of alcohol. The driver, Ackerland, was taken to the Ada County Jail where he blew a .221/.229. Because the suspect also had an excessive DUI conviction in 2008, he was booked for the felony under the excessive DUI statute.
