2 Unrelated Child Abuse Arrests, Meth Possession

05-11-10 - 2 Unrelated Child Abuse Arrests, Meth Possession
  Boise, May 11, 2010 - Boise Police arrested a man in front of his home as he was carrying an 8 month old child. The man was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
 
Arrested: Troy M. Davenport, 31, Boise
Charge: Possession of Methamphetamine (F)
 
   A Boise police officer on patrol was flagged down by a citizen who reported the suspect was with a small child and may be using meth. Officers went to the suspect's North Boise home and made contact with him just as he was walking outside carrying the child. Officers found the suspect was on felony probation. A search by the suspects parole officer found the suspect to have in his home a small baggie with a substance that tested positive for meth. Additional charges may be coming.

Arrested: Traci K. Lewis, 40 Boise
Charge: Injury to a Child (F)
 
   Lewis was arrested by Boise Police Monday after Ada County Prosecutors issued a warrant for her arrest on the above charge. The charge follows an investigation by detectives with the Boise PD Special Victims Unit. The case began April 23, 2010 when Boise Police were alerted by a concerned adult that possible child abuse, physical and emotional may be occurring in a northwest Boise Home. The victims are two children under age 13 who are both known to the suspect. Because of the very sensitive nature of this crime, it's the policy of the Boise Police Department to protect the victims and no further details are available for release.

  Lewis was arrested by Boise Police Monday after Ada County Prosecutors issued a warrant for her arrest on the above charge. The case began March 27, 2010 when Boise Police were alerted by a concerned adult that possible child abuse, physical and sexual may be occurring in a northwest Boise Home. The victims are three children under age 16, all are known to the suspect. Because of the very sensitive nature of this crime, it's the policy of the Boise Police Department to protect the victims and no further details are available for release.
