-------------

Arrested: Alyssa A. Terry, 19, Boise

Charges:Burglary (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Medications)(F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 400 block of North Milwaukee yesterday (March 30th) at approximately 2:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed two suspects, one adult later identified as Alyssa Terry and one juvenile female, conceal items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspects entered the store with the intent to commit the theft, resulting in the burglary charge. A search of the suspects revealed prescription medications on Alyssa Terry's person and paraphernalia used to take the drugs, resulting in the Possession and Paraphernalia charges. The adult female suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges. The juvenile female was turned over to the custody of a guardian.

The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.
