Stolen checks lead to grand theft charges; Overnight Felony arrests

-----------

Arrested: Robert F. Spencer, 20, Unknown Address

   Charges:Grand Theft (F)

Boise Police, working with Meridian Police, arrested Robert Spencer yesterday evening (February 23rd) at approximately 7:00 p.m. in Meridian as part of an ongoing investigation into stolen checks. Evidence indicates the suspect took the checks from a business on the 12000 block of West Franklin in Boise on February 18th or 19th. The suspect, a former employee of the business, may face additional charges for cashing those checks in Meridian. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

-----------

Warrant Arrested: Mychelle E. Harding, 42,

   Warrant Charges:Forgery (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Forgery yesterday (February 23rd) at a restaurant on the 1700 block of South Leadville.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a forged document used to register a vehicle in the suspect's name. Evidence indicates the suspect manufactured the paperwork to register a vehicle in her name that did not belong to her. The vehicle has since been recovered. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
