    Arrested: Kyle E. McGinnis, 23, Boise

     Charges:2 counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(F), Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (F)

    Arrested: Colby T. Caperon, 23, Boise

     Charges:2 Counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(F)

   Boise Police Narcotics Detectives (BANDIT) arrested two men yesterday (February 3rd) as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation into the sale of marijuana. Detectives have evidence that the suspects sold 123 grams of marijuana to an undercover detective at a residence on the 4400 block of Merwether on January 25th. Yesterday, detectives determined the pair sold an additional 137 grams of marijuana from the same home. Yesterday afternoon detectives obtained a search warrant for the address and recovered an additional 55 grams of marijuana from the home, resulting in the possession with intent to deliver charge.

    The BANDIT Task Force investigates gambling, prostitution and illegal drug use. The Task Force includes Detectives from the Boise Police Department, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms agency and the Idaho National Guard, working as part of a multi-jurisdictional task force called B.A.N.D.I.T. (Boise Area Narcotics and Drug Interdiction Task Force), commissioned to protect the community from illegal drug activity.

    Charges:Manufacture of a Controlled substance (Marijuana)(F)

    Citation Issued: Steven Mercado, 26, Boise

    Citation Charges:Frequenting a place Where Drugs are Used/Sold (m)

    Boise Police received a citizen tip of possible drug use and knocked on the suspect's door yesterday, (February 3rd) at approximately 6:30 p.m. at a home on the 1500 block of West Hays. Officers noticed the distinct odor of burnt marijuana when they contacted the occupants. A Boise Police K-9 alerted on the residence, indicating the likely presence of drugs. Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence and recovered 8 marijuana plants, three fluorescent grow lights, potting soil and plants being dried. The suspect, Joseph Rodriguez, was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges. Steven Mercado was cited for frequenting and released.

    Arrested: Brandon K. Garner, 28, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

    Boise Police received a citizen call of a possible drunk driver running stop signs eastbound on Five Mile early this morning (February 4th) at approximately 2:30 a.m. The citizen followed the vehicle and reported its location to police. Officers located the vehicle on Patricia street and contacted the driver. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Andrew M. Petters, 25, Nampa

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

    Boise Police responded to a one vehicle, motorcycle crash early this morning (February 4th) at approximately 2:00 a.m. Officers determined the motorcycle rider, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, had struck the curb at Myrtle and Avenue A. The man failed some field sobriety tests before a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
