01-04-10 Search for Burg, Agg Assault Suspects
Boise, Jan 4, 2010 - Boise Police are asking neighbors
northwest of Overland and Five Mile if they saw anything suspicious
this afternoon. That follows police response to a home burglary
that was interrupted by the homeowner, and led to two shots being
fired by the suspect in his attempt to get away.
What Happened: Boise Police received
a call from a homeowner on Chickadee Dr at 3:07 p.m. this
afternoon. The homeowner said he returned home, parked in the
garage, walked into his kitchen and found a man standing on the
other side of the counter. The burglar had a bag stuffed with items
including jewelry and computer equipment taken from the home. The

The resident told officers
when he confronted the stranger, the suspect raised the
weapon and fired two shots. Fortunately neither hit the resident.
The gun appeared to jam and the victim says the suspect left the
gun and the bag of items behind and ran out the back door. As
the victim watched the suspect run off, he saw a second
suspect also running through the backyard.
The resident called police, who immediately
searched the area, but did not find the suspects. After
investigating, it appears the suspects forced open a back window to
break into the home.
Suspect Description: light
skinned male, mid-20's, wearing a blue hoodie with grey stripes
on the sleeves, approx 5'10" - 5'11", thin build, dark
The second suspect was only seen by the victim running
away. The victim describes him as wearing a dark
