  Arrested: Leo A. Vezina, 39, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F), Resisting and Obstructing (m), Parole Violation Charges

    Boise Police responded to a report of an attempted Burglary on the 2500 block of West Pleasanton Saturday (January 2nd, 2010) at approximately 11:00 p.m. A citizen had called dispatch to report a suspicious subject on a neighbors property who ran away after being spotted. Officers chased the suspect, who fled after being sighted by police. At one point, officers identified themselves to the suspect, who continued to flee over fences and through yards. Boise Police officers caught the man after a brief foot chase. Officers recovered several stolen items from the suspect. The man was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Patrick D. Hayes, 54, Boise

   Charges: Intimidation of a States Witness (F), Disturbing the Peace (m)

    Boise Police responded to a disturbance on the 4900 block of West Fairview Saturday (January 2nd, 2010) at approximately 10:30 p.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect had been drinking and began beating on the walls of his apartment. Neighbors had tried to calm the suspect down before he began making threats and screaming at them. As officers took the suspect into custody for disturbing the peace, he verbally and directly threatened to kill one of the witnesses in front of officers. The suspect then threatened to kill both responding officers. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Benjamin S. Prieto, 23, Nampa

    Charges:Possession of a Controlled substance (Ecstacy) (F), Battery (m)

    Boise Police responded to a request for assistance from bar employees on the 100 block of South 6th Street early Sunday morning (January 3rd, 2010) at approximately 1:30 a.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect had been involved in a fight inside a bar and security had attempted to break it up. The suspect punched one of the security guards in the scuffle. The suspect was taken into custody on the battery charge. A search of the suspect revealed .5 grams of ecstacy. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Charges:Burglary (F)

    Arrested: Jessica D. Garner, 20, Twin Falls

    Charges:Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 400 block of North Milwaukee Sunday (January 3rd, 2010) at approximately 9:00 p.m. Store employees tell police they witnessed two suspects grab items and run out of the store without paying for them. Loss prevention employees detained the suspects until officers arrived. Boise Police officers believe the suspects entered the store with the intent to commit the theft, resulting in the burglary charges. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
