   Charges:Conspiracy to Traffic Heroin (F)

Boise Police Narcotics Detectives (B.A.N.D.I.T.) as part of an ongoing investigation over the last month into the sale of Heroin, conducted a traffic stop with the help of Boise Patrol officers yesterday (January 21st) at Overland and Federal Way at approximately 4:00 p.m. Detectives had reason to believe that drugs were being transported in the vehicle from California. Officers recovered approximately 31 grams of Heroin from the vehicle and arrested Mark Boman, the driver. Officers later arrested Jesse Duran and Vicki Ornelas at a home on the 200 block of Jackson street. Detectives have evidence that all three suspects have been involved in the sale and distribution of Heroin. The suspects were booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

The BANDIT Task Force investigates gambling, prostitution and illegal drug use. The Task Force includes Detectives from the Boise Police Department, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms agency and the Idaho National Guard, working as part of a multi-jurisdictional task force called B.A.N.D.I.T. (Boise Area Narcotics and Drug Interdiction Task Force), commissioned to protect the community from illegal drug activity.

Arrested: Luis A. Martinez, 50, No known address

   Charges:Burglary (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin)(F)

Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8200 block of West Fairview yesterday (January 21st) at approximately 7:30 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. A search of the suspect's person after his arrest revealed 3 plastic baggies containing less than one gram of Meth, and a small amount of heroin. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

---------------

Warrant Arrested: Jerald L. Rich, 38, Boise

   Warrant Charges:Receiving Stolen Property (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Receiving Stolen Property yesterday.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the theft of two motorcycles and other items from a garage on the 5900 block of Willow Cliff that took place on December 9th of last year. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in the crime. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
