Boise Police offer citizens the following personal and neighborhood safety tips:

  - You know your neighborhood best. If you see or hear anything suspicious or seemingly out of place, call police dispatch.

  - What might be out of place? An unfamiliar parked car with people sitting inside, people walking through the neighborhood appearing to be looking into parked cars or into neighbors homes, unexplained noises late at night.

  - Vehicle Safety: leave porch and outside lights on to illuminate vehicles if they're parked outside, always lock car doors even if you don't think anything of value inside, don't leave anything of value in view.
