Search leads to Grand Theft by Possession charges/Overnight Aggravated Battery

------------

Arrested: Adina P. Brock, 40, Boise

Charges: Grand Theft by Possession (F)

Boise Police served a search warrant at a home on the 3000 block of North Lake Harbor yesterday (December 29th) at 4:00 a.m. The search warrant is the result of an ongoing investigation into stolen property. Officers recovered a stolen handgun that had been taken during a vehicle burglary in Nampa earlier this month.  The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Overnight Aggravated Battery

What happened: Victims tell police that late last night (December 29th) just before midnight four men entered a home on the 1600 block of Colorado. Two men held residents at gunpoint while the others battered one victim in another room. Victims tell officers that the suspects identified themselves as police at one point. A struggle took place between a resident and a suspect resulting in the discharge of a firearm into a wall. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction without taking anything. Detectives believe a firearm recovered at the scene belongs to one of the suspects. One victim was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries at the time. Witnesses described the suspects as adult males wearing dark clothing.

No further information is available at this time. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
