    Boise Police received an anonymous tip of possible drug activity at a hotel on the 1600 block of West Main early Sunday morning (December 20th) at approximately 1:00 a.m. Officers observed a vehicle commit several moving violations after leaving the hotel near 22nd and Bannock. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and a police K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating the likely presence of illegal drugs. A search of the suspects and the vehicle revealed a small amount of Ecstacy resulting in the arrest of Jason Young.

   Officers contacted the occupants of the room at the hotel and received consent to search for drugs. Boise Police recovered approximately 2.5 grams of Ecstacy, several items of drug paraphernalia, 5.3 grams of Cocaine, a small amount of Acid and two packages of marijuana weighing 271 grams and 187 grams. Officers have evidence that indicates Michael Hager had been involved in the sale of marijuana. Boise Police Officers also cited 4 individuals for frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold.

    The suspects were booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Erica K. Sickler, 23, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Battery (F),

    Boise Police responded to a stabbing on the corner of Five Mile and Mcmillan late last night (December 20th) at approximately 11:30 p.m. Officers who arrived on scene found an adult male suspect had been stabbed and was bleeding. The victim was transported to a local hospital. Detectives, after an intensive investigation, determined the suspect had been involved in an argument with the victim, who is well known to her, and used a knife to stab him at a nearby home. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

     Charges: Delivery of a Controlled substance (Meth)(F), Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs (m)

    Arrested: Timothy P. Shiffer, 55, Boise

     Charges: Fugitive to Idaho (Warrant from another state)

    Boise Police observed a vehicle run a red light Sunday night (December 20th) at approximately 11:30 p.m. at Fairview and Cole. Officers conducted a traffic stop and observed the driver, Kelly Huey, appeared to be impaired. After conducting field sobriety tests she was taken into custody for DUI. A Boise Police K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating the likely presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle revealed a zip lock bag containing approximately .25 grams of meth and further investigation revealed the suspect had been involved in the sale of the drug. A check through Ada County dispatch indicated that the passenger, Timothy P. Shiffer had an outstanding warrant out of Oregon. The suspects were booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

     Arrested: Malcolm F. Standifer, 35, Garden City

     Charges: Delivery of a Controlled Substance (F), Possession of a Suspended Drivers license (m)

    Boise Police received a citizen tip of possible drug activity early this morning (December 21st) at approximately 1:00 a.m. Officers contacted the suspect sitting in a car at a parking lot on the 5600 block of West Fairview. When officers contacted the driver he handed them a license that a records check through dispatch confirmed was expired. A search incident to arrested revealed a plastic bag containing a small amount of meth. Officers have evidence that indicates the suspect had been involved in the sale of drugs. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

     Arrested: Alex D. Huru, 28, Boise

     Charges: Possession of a Controlled substance (Prescription Pain Medication)(F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Possession of prescription not in container (m), Failure to appear warrant (m)

    Boise Police on patrol early Sunday morning (December 20th) at approximately 3:00 a.m. observed a vehicle with expired registration and conducted a traffic stop near Targee and Orchard streets. Officers contacted the driver and determined he had a warrant for failure to appear. A search incident to his arrest revealed 7.5 grams of marijuana, prescription pain medication and a small amount of meth. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Joshua A. Rose, 30, Caldwell

    Charges: Grand Theft (F)

    Boise Police contacted the suspect in connection to an ongoing investigation into a stolen credit card yesterday (December 20th) at a store on the 3000 block of South Roosevelt. Officers determined the suspect had in his possession, a credit card that had been taken during a residential burglary that took place the day before. After a detailed investigation the suspect was booked on the above listed charges.

     Arrested: Aaron A. Schoonover, 29, Nampa

     Charges: Impersonating a Police Officer (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a vandalism Friday (December 19th) at approximately 3:00 p.m. Multiple witnesses tell police that during a verbal altercation over the kicking of a car the suspect, Aaron Schoonover allegedly repeatedly claimed to be a police officer with Boise Police. Witnesses claim the suspect attempted to intimidate them, in an attempt to keep them from reporting the vehicle kicking incident. After a detailed investigation the suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Kirsten A. Edin, 21, Sedona Arizona

    Charges: Battery on a Police Officer (F)

Boise Police were dispatched to a disturbance Friday evening (December 19th) at approximately 11:00 p.m. at a hotel on the 900 block of Milwaukee. Officers made contact with the suspect who was in the lobby of the hotel and visibly upset. As officers attempted to find out what had taken place the suspect screamed obscenities and refused to calm down. As officers attempted to interview the woman she attempted to strike the officers. Officers had to place the woman in handcuffs and as she was escorted to the police car she kicked and struggled, at one point kicking both police officers while cursing and screaming. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

     Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 400 block of North Milwaukee Friday (December 19th) at approximately 8:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspects conceal several items and then left the store without paying for them. Police officers believe the women entered the store with the intent to commit the thefts resulting in the burglary charges. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Warrant Arrested: Charles S. Coleman, 26, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Impersonating a Police Officer (F)

  The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Impersonating a Police Officer yesterday.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into phone calls the suspect made claiming to be a police detective. Victims reported the unusual calls to police on December 9th. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
