Traffic stop leads to DUI and Drug Charges; overnight felony arrests
Arrested: Jason C. Gray, 18, Boise
Charges: Possession of a Controlled substance (Meth)(F), Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(m), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)
Boise Police on patrol late last night (December 14th) at approximately 11:40 p.m. witnessed a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop as it approached an intersection at Phillipi and Phillipi Court. Officers conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver. Boise Police observed a baggie of marijuana in plain sight on the front console of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed 2.0 grams of Meth, 2.0 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The suspect failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested on a DUI Charge as well. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
Arrested: Robin C. Mcdonald, 22, La Grande Oregon
Charges: Burglary (F), Resisting and Obstructing (m)
Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 400 block of North Milwaukee yesterday (December 14th) at approximately 9:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal several items and then left the store without paying for them. Police officers believe the woman entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. During the investigation into this incident, officers determined the suspect provided false information in an attempt to delay the process, resulting in the additional charge of resisting and obstructing. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
Warrant Arrested: Zachary T. Harsma, 19, Boise
Warrant Charges: Burglary (F)
The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Receiving Stolen Property yesterday.
The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a burglary that took place on September 7th of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in stealing several cases of beer by grabbing the items and running out of the store. Officers later learned the identity of the suspect and that investigative information, forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office resulted in the felony warrant.
