Boise Police investigated a report of retail theft by several individuals Sunday (November 22nd) at approximately 2:00 p.m. from a business on the 300 block of Milwaukee. Loss prevention employees tell police the suspects entered the store and filled baby carriages with clothing (no children present). The suspects then left the store without paying for them. Boise Police believe the suspects entered the store with the intent to commit the theft, resulting in the burglary charges.

Boise Police Retail Crimes investigators caught up with the group as they attempted to leave a parking lot of another retail store located on the 8300 block of West Franklin at approximately 3:00 p.m. after another shoplifting incident had taken place. After a detailed investigation the suspects were booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.

Warrant Arrested: Brandon L. Benson, 26, Unknown Address

   Warrant Charges:  Burglary (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Burglary yesterday.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a burglary that took place in June of this year at a residence on the 1800 block of Robert Street.
