    Vehicle Burglary ends in Arrests!

Arrested: Jeffrey Epperson, 38, Unknown Address

Charges: Burglary (F), Fleeing and Evading (F),

What Happened: Boise Police received a call of a purse snatching/vehicle burglary this afternoon (November 23rd) at approximately 1:30 p.m. from a victim in the parking lot of a retail outlet on the 8300 block of West Overland. The witness tells police that as she returned her shopping cart to the store two men were seen stealing her purse from the passenger seat of her vehicle. Boise Police believe the suspects entered the vehicle with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the Burglary Charges. The two suspects, one of which is a juvenile, then drove away in a car. The victim was able to give a detailed description to police over the phone.

Boise Police who responding to the call saw the vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop. After a very brief chase, the driver of the suspect vehicle lost control as he traveled Northbound on Maple Grove. The car hit the curb, then hit a stop sign before coming to a stop near Maple Grove and Emerald. The suspects attempted to flee on foot. One suspect, the juvenile male, refused to cooperate with police and officers were forced to deploy a taser to take him into custody. The adult male ran about 300 yards before a citizen assisted Boise police in the arrest. The juvenile male will face charges similar to those listed above. The adult male will be booked on the above listed charges.
