Barstool thrown in crowd leads to Aggravated Battery and other weekend arrests

----------------------

Arrested: Manuel Solomon Cortes, 25, Caldwell

    Charges: Aggravated Battery (F)

Boise Police responded to a disturbance at a concert house on the 400 block of South 9th late Saturday (October 17th) just before midnight. Witnesses tell officers that the suspect, later identified as Manuel Solomon, had become angry at the cancellation of a concert while inside the crowded theatre. Witnesses say he picked up a solid wooden bar chair and thew it into the crowd near the stage. The barstool hit an adult female in the back of the head knocking her to the ground. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital for what appeared to be serious injuries at the time. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

------------

Warrant Arrested: Robert C. Billos, 41, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Forgery (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Forgery Sunday (October 18th).

The arrest warrant stems from forged checks the suspect presented at area grocery stores in May of this year. At that time the suspect presented two forged checks to the local businesses and cashed them. After a detailed investigation the information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
