Officers Recover Stolen vehicle after brief foot chase; other weekend arrests
Arrested: Judy M. Pollard, 36, Boise

Arrested: Jamus R. Day, 33, Kuna
Charges: Resisting and Obstructing Officers (m), Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Parole Violation Charges
A Boise Police officer on patrol near Milwaukee and Ustick Saturday (October 10th) at approximately 6:10 p.m. observed a vehicle traveling with no front license plate. As the officer turned around to stop the vehicle, it quickly turned onto the 7900 block of Bayhill, came to a fast stop, and two occupants, including the female driver ran off on foot.
Officers immediately searched the area. Several neighbors assisted officers as they reported the suspects were running through yards. Officers were successful in locating both suspects hiding in two separate locations. Officers determined that suspect Jamus Day had dropped a pipe containing a small amount of marijuana and scales as he fled. Day was also wanted on a parole violation.
Officers also learned through a check with Ada County dispatch that the vehicle, a 2002 Saturn sedan, had been reported stolen from Middleton. The alleged driver of the stolen car, Judy Pollards driver's license was also currently suspended. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
Arrested: Dominique Bratton, 22, Boise
Charges: Aggravated Assault (F)
Boise Police responded to a report of a fight in progress at Garnett and Lander streets Friday (October 9th) at approximately 11:00 p.m. Officers determined that the suspect was involved in an ongoing dispute with the victim and had made prior threats. That evening, the suspect located the victim on the street at Garnett and Lander and fought with the victim. At one point, the victim's face hit the pavement, chipping teeth and causing other facial injuries. The victim, an adult female, was taken to a nearby hospital.
The suspect then fled the scene before officers arrived. Boise Police located the suspect a short time later at Wylie and State streets. After a brief investigation the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
Arrested: Jason S. Preston, 35, Boise
Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)
Boise Police responded to a report of a fight in progress at a residence on the 3600 block of West Kipling Saturday (October 10th) at approximately 9:00 p.m. As officers conducted interviews, a suspect in the fight, later identified as Jason Preston, was observed driving a motorcycle on the street. Officers stopped and spoke with the suspect and smelled alcohol. After conducting field sobriety tests, officers took the suspect to the Ada County jail were he recorded a blood alcohol level (BAC) of .18 .19. A check through Ada County dispatch indicated the suspect's drivers license was currently suspended for a previous felony DUI making this charge a Felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
Arrested: Jennifer J. Miller, 21, Boise
Charges: Burglary (F)
Boise Police were dispatched to a report of a shoplifter at a retail store on the 300 block of North Milwaukee Friday (October 9th) at approximately 5:19 p.m. Loss prevention employees tell police they observed the suspect conceal goods and exit the store without paying for them. Boise Police believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft, resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
Warrant Arrested: Tahnee L. Sims, 25, Boise
Warrant Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) (F)
Tahnee L. Sims was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance Friday (October 9th)
The arrest warrant stems from an incident that took place in July of this year. On that date Boise Police Narcotics detectives, as part of an ongoing investigation, received consent to search a home on the 3000 block of North Five Mile Road. Officers recovered 8 grams of Meth from the residence and determined it belonged to the suspect. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
The BANDIT Task Force investigates gambling, prostitution and illegal drug use. The Task Force includes Detectives from the Boise Police Department, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms agency and the Idaho National Guard, working as part of a multi-jurisdictional task force called B.A.N.D.I.T. (Boise Area Narcotics and Drug Interdiction Task Force), commissioned to protect the community from illegal drug activity.
