09-24-09 Drug charges top overnight arrests

     Drug charges top the overnight arrests in the City of Boise

    Arrested: Nathan J. Carriveau, 19, Boise

    Charges: Delivery of a Controlled Substance (F)

    Arrested: Adam J. Spivey, 20, Boise

    Charges: Delivery of a Controlled Substance (F)

    Arrested: Carl H. Cookson, 19, Boise

    Charges: Delivery of a Controlled Substance (F)

    Cited Summons: Brittney E. Posthuma, 19, Boise

    Citation Charges: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Possession of Marijuana (m)

    Boise Neighborhood Contact Officers served a search warrant at a residence on the 6100 block of Poplar Street yesterday (September 23rd) at approximately 2:40 p.m. Officers recovered 115 grams of marijuana belonging to Nathan Carriveau, Adan Spivey and Carl Cookson. Neighborhood Contact Officers have evidence that indicates that the marijuana had been offered for sale. During the search, Brittney Posthuma returned to the residence and officers recovered a baggy containing 3.2 grams of marijuana belonging to her. Officers also recovered a bong belonging to Posthuma. Carriveua Spivey and Cookson were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges. Brittney Posthuma was issued the above listed citations and released.

  Warrant Arrested: Crystal D. Ragland, 39, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Manufacture of a Controlled Substance (marijuana) (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Manufacture of a Controlled Substance yesterday (September 23rd).

    The arrest warrant stems from an incident that took place on July 1st of this year. On that date, detectives received consent to search the suspect's residence on the 8400 block of west Fairview Avenue. Officers recovered marijuana plants that had been growing in a closet. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

  Warrant Arrested: Robert N. Nelson, 44, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Fraudulent Use of a Financial Transaction Card (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Fraudulent Use of a Financial Transaction Card (September 23rd).

    The arrest warrant stems from an incident that took place on July 15th of this year. On that date, victim's tell police that the suspect used stolen checks to purchase online memberships to websites. The purchases also caused an overdraft on the victims checking account costing the victim a total of more than 300 dollars.  That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
