09-03-09 Drug and Injury to a Child charges top overnight arrests

     Boise September 3rd, 2009 - Drug and Injury to a Child charges top the overnight arrests in the City of Boise

    Arrested: Jason D. Grooms, 35, Boise

     Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Meth)(F), Injury to a Child (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M) 

    Arrested: Joshua A. Rose, 30, Boise

     Charges: Frequenting a Place Where Drugs are Used/Sold (m)

    Boise Police responded to a request to assist Idaho Probation and Parole agents on a search of a residence on the 1900 block of North Hampton early this morning (September 3rd) at approximately 1:30 a.m. During a search of the suspects, and the residence, officers recovered 4 glass Meth pipes, a package containing 4 grams of Meth and numerous packaging materials. Through the course of their investigation officers determined that Jason Grooms had used Meth early that night in the presence of 2 children under the ages of 10 that he had been watching. Joshua Rose was arrested for frequenting. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges. The juveniles were turned over to family members. No further information is available at this time.

    Arrested: William R. McMillan, 30, Boise

     Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Parole Violation Charges

    Boise Police responded to a request to assist Idaho Probation and Parole agents at a residence on the 1100 block of West Targee yesterday  (September 2nd) at approximately 11:00 p.m. During a search of the suspect, officers recovered a plastic bag containing 1.75 grams of Meth. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Warrant Arrested: Nigel K. Peters, 24, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F)

    Nigel Peters was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance yesterday (September 2nd)

    The arrest warrant stems from a search that took place at a residence on the 8400 block of Westchester in Boise on August 11th of this year. At that time, officers received consent to search a bedroom where the suspect had been sleeping and recovered a couple of small plastic baggies containing meth. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

  Warrant Arrested: Courtney M. Bowden, 18, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Burglary (F)

    Courtney Bowden was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Burglary yesterday (September 2nd)

    The arrest warrant stems from a theft that took place at a retail outlet on the 300 block of North Milwaukee on November 18th of last year. On that date, loss prevention employees tell police that the two suspects entered the store and concealed several items before leaving without paying for them. Witnesses provided evidence to police that helped officers identify the suspect. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

  Warrant Arrested: Shawn E. Williamson, 38, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Misappropriation of Identifying Information (F)

    Shawn Williamson was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Misappropriation of Identifying Information yesterday (September 2nd)

    The arrest warrant stems from an incident that began in February of 2008. Witnesses tell police that the suspect used a child's information to fraudulently obtain a credit card. The suspect then used the card to charge roughly $800.00 worth of merchandise. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
