    Boise August 19th, 2009 -Drug Delivery charges top the overnight arrests in the City of Boise

    Arrested: Michael J. Walker, 20, Boise

     Charges: Delivery of a Controlled Substance (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

    Arrested: Kristina M. Brutsman-Rice, 20, Boise

     Charges: Delivery of a Controlled Substance (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

 Citation Issued: Brianna R. Ball, 22, Boise

 Citation Charges: Frequenting a Place where drugs are used or sold (m)

 Citation Issued: Brandon M. Abbott, 20, Nampa

 Citation Charges: Frequenting a Place where drugs are used or sold (m)

 Citation Issued: Amber J. Montano, 20, Middleton

    Boise Police served a search warrant at a residence on the 3300 block of West Hamilton Street yesterday (August 18th) at approximately 3:45 p.m. Using a police K-9 to help in the search, officers recovered a half pound of marijuana worth roughly $1,700.00 along with several items of paraphernalia including scales and packaging materials. Officers have evidence that indicates the drugs had been offered for sale and officers arrested two suspects, later identified as Michael Walker and Kristina Brutsman, on delivery of a controlled substance and Possession of paraphernalia charges. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges. Four other suspects were issued citations for frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold.

    Arrested: Elizabeth B. Mesner, 27, Boise

     Charges: 2 counts of Battery on a Law Officer (F), Resisting and Obstructing (m)

    Boise Police responded to a trespassing report yesterday (August 18th) at approximately 5:18 p.m. at a residence on the 2700 block of Regan Street in Boise. Officers located the suspect, later identified as Elizabeth Mesner still on the property. As officers spoke with the suspect, she became increasingly agitated and struck one of the officers with a closed fist. At one point during the altercation the suspect also struggled and kicked a second officer. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Marcus E. Schumacher, 29, Boise

    Charges: Burglary (F),

    Boise Police Retail Crime officers were dispatched to a report of a shoplifter at a retail store on the 3600 block of East Federal Way yesterday (August 18th) at approximately 2:00 p.m. Loss prevention employees tell police they observed a suspect, later identified as Marcus Schumacher, conceal goods and exit the store without paying for them. Boise Police believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft, resulting in the burglary charges. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges. 

    The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.
