Boise August 12th, 2009 -Drug charges top the overnight arrests in the City of Boise
Arrested: Julie J. Reimer, 46, Boise
Charges: Injury to a Child (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m)
Boise Police following up on citizen complaints of drug use yesterday (August 11th) at approximately 1:30 p.m. received consent to search a home on the 400 block of Driftwood. The suspect, later identified as Julie Reimer, was found to be in possession of half a gram of Meth. Officers also located several items of paraphernalia including syringes, baggies and pipes with residue, within reach of children who reside in the home. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges. The minor was turned over to the custody of Idaho State Health and Welfare.
18-1501.Injury to children. (1) Any person who, under circumstances or conditions likely to produce great bodily harm or death, willfully causes or permits any child to suffer, or inflicts thereon unjustifiable physical pain or mental suffering, or having the care or custody of any child, willfully causes or permits the person or health of such child to be injured, or willfully causes or permits such child to be placed in such situation that its person or health is endangered, is punishable by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding one (1) year, or in the state prison for not less than one (1) year nor more than ten (10) years.

Boise Police Narcotics Detectives following up on a previous investigation yesterday (August 11th) at approximately 7:25 a.m. observed a suspicious vehicle in the alley behind Fort Street and Reserve. When officers made contact with the suspect, later identified as Amber Round, a drug detection K-9 indicated the presence of illegal substances in the vehicle. Officers recovered 1 gram of Meth from the vehicle. The suspect was was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
