    Boise August 3rd, 2009 - Weekend arrests of note

    Arrested: Jonathan R. Pridgen, 28, Boise

     Charges: DUI (3rd conviction)(F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (opiate)(F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a collision Friday (July 31st) at approximately 9:25 p.m. in the area of Greenleaf Street and Lilly Drive. Witnesses tell police that the suspect, later identified as Jonathan Pridgen, was traveling West on Greenleaf when he struck the rear end of a parked car. The suspect then did a u-turn and drove between a mailbox and another parked car, at which point he got stuck. Officers who made contact with the suspect noted the distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage as they spoke with the man who appeared to be intoxicated at the time. Officers located a syringe on the console containing liquid opiates. A blood draw was conducted for later testing. Officers working with Ada County dispatch determined the suspect had two prior convictions for DUI making this a felony charge.  The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Robert C. Curtis, 42, Boise

     Charges: Grand Theft (F), Burglary (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (prescriptions)(F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle Sunday (August 2nd) on the 3500 block of West State street at approximately 2:00 p.m. The victim tells police that she left her car on the street for a few minutes. When she returned it was gone. After a brief investigation, Boise Police located her vehicle in a nearby parking lot and located the suspect, later identified as Robert Curtis, in the area. Officers recovered several items that had been stolen from the vehicle including prescription pills, a cell phone and cash. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Vicki L. Murray, 51, Caldwell

    Charges: Burglary (F),

    Boise Police were dispatched to a report of a shoplifter at a retail store on the 8200 block of West Overland Friday (July 31st) at approximately 8:15 p.m. Loss prevention employees tell police they observed an adult female, later identified as Vicki Murray, select several items and remove them from the packaging before concealing them in a bag. The suspect then exited the store without paying for the items. Boise Police believe the woman entered the store with the intent to commit the theft, resulting in the burglary charges. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Elliot S. Mills, 18, Boise

    Charges: Burglary (F),

    Boise Police were dispatched to a report of two shoplifters at a retail store on the 2000 block of South Cole Road Friday (July 31st) at approximately 2:45 a.m. Loss prevention employees tell police they observed the pair, later identified as Taylor Maves and Elliot Mills, select several video games and stuff them into their clothing before exiting the store without paying. Boise Police believe the men entered the store with the intent to commit the theft, resulting in the burglary charges. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
