06-25-09 Police Search for Suspect in Theft of Dog Collar
Boise, June 25, 2009 - Boise Police are asking the public's help in identifying a woman accused of stealing a $600 dog training collar from a Boise retail store on June 6, 2009.
Store video surveillance captured the woman inside the store holding a box with the dog collar inside. Witnesses say she left the store without paying for the item.
The woman also brought a dog, a Vizsla inside the store with her (not captured on surveillance). The Vizsla is a sleek, muscular, medium-sized hunting dog with a rusty-gold colored short coat.
Officers do believe the suspect is local. Officers have been following leads to locate the suspect with no success, so they're turning to the public for help.
