06-19-09 Drug and Burglary charges top overnight arrests

Boise June 19th, 2009 - Drug and Burglary charges top the overnight arrests in the City of Boise.

 Arrested: Michael P. Whitbeck, 47 Boise

   Charges: Possession of a controlled substance (Meth)(F), Possession of a controlled substance (marijuana)(m), Possession of a controlled substance (Prescription)(m), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m)

    Boise Police, following up on neighborhood complaints of possible drug activity, obtained a warrant to search a residence on the 6300 block of Dorian Street yesterday (June 18th) and served the warrant at approximately 9:15 a.m. Officers located several items of drug paraphernalia, plastic baggies containing residue (Meth), several prescription medication tablets and a small amount of marijuana. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Raelyn J. Haggett, 30, Boise

   Charges: Leaving the scene of an injury accident (F), Driving under the influence (Drugs)(m), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m)

    Boise Police responded to a collision at the intersection of Ustick and Julian yesterday (June 18th) at approximately 11:50 p.m. Witnesses tell police that a pickup driven by the suspect, later identified as Raelyn Haggett, rear ended a car that was stopped in the intersection waiting to turn. The suspect did not stop at the crash scene and officers located her at a gas station near Ustick and Cloverdale. The suspect failed multiple field sobriety tests. Boise Police officers located a canister with marijuana residue in it. Evidence collected from the suspect indicated she was operating the vehicle while impaired. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Faustine M. Albrecht, 48, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F), Trespassing (m), probation violation charges

    Boise Police responded to a report of shoplifting at a retail store on the 400 block of North Milwaukee yesterday (June 18th) at approximately 7:13 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect, later identified as Faustine Albrecht, conceal several items of jewelry and then left the store without paying for them. Police officers believe the woman entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The woman had been trespassed from the property for a previous theft incident in January of 2009, resulting in the additional charge of trespassing. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.

   Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of shoplifting at a retail store on the 400 block of North Milwaukee yesterday (June 18th) at approximately 7:13 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect, later identified as Rodrigo Villarreal, conceal several clothing items and then left the store without paying for them. Police officers believe the man entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of shoplifting at a retail store on the 400 block of North Milwaukee yesterday (June 18th) at approximately 7:13 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect, later identified as Aaron Boyer, conceal several items and then left the store without paying for them. Police officers believe the man entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
