05-22-09 Reckless driving and drug charges top overnight arrests

Boise May 22nd, 2009 - Reckless driving and drug charges top the overnight arrests in the City of Boise

  Arrested: Jeremy V Puckett, 33, Boise

   Charges: Delivery of a controlled substance (Meth)(F), Reckless Driving (m)

    Boise Police on patrol in the area of State street near Gary lane at approximately 12:39 a.m. this morning (May 22nd) were passed by a vehicle going eastbound in the opposite direction on State at an estimated 65 mph in a 45 mph zone. Officers pursued the pickup as it dodged in and out of traffic at high speed causing other motorists to slam on brakes or swerve to avoid collisions. The vehicle continued to drive at high speed reaching an estimated 90 miles per hour until the driver attempted to make the turn northbound onto Arthur street going too fast. The vehicle couldnt make the turn and  and skidded to a stop. Officers identified the driver as Jeremy Puckett and arrested him for reckless driving. A Search of the suspect revealed a pill bottle containing 1.9 grams of Meth. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Kelly R. Wall, 41, Boise

   Charges: Possession of a controlled substance (Meth)

    Boise Police assisted Idaho Probation and Parole agents on a search of a residence on the 4300 block of Freemont yesterday (may 21st) at approximately 3:49 p.m. During the search officers located paraphernalia and a small amount of meth. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

Warrant Arrested: Joshua T. Clink, 22, Boise

Warrant Charges: Delivery of a controlled substance (F)

Warrant Arrested: Brandon D. Ward, 20, Boise

Warrant Charges: Delivery of a controlled substance (F)

    Joshua Clink and Brandon Ward were arrested yesterday afternoon on outstanding felony warrants for delivery of a controlled substance.

The warrants stem from an incident that took place on December 22nd of 2008 as part of an ongoing BANDIT narcotics investigation. On that date the suspects sold 125 grams of marijuana to a Boise Police Narcotics Detective. That information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony charge.

Warrant Arrested: Terence L. Lynch, 24, Boise

Warrant Charges: Attempted Burglary (F)

    Terrance Lynch was taken into custody yesterday (May 21st) on an outstanding attempted felony burglary warrant

    The warrant stems from an incident that took place on January 27th, 2009 at a retail store on the 8300 block of west Overland. On that date witnesses tell police that the suspect filled a shopping cart with merchandise and then attempted to return the items at the customer service counter. At one point the suspect became nervous and abandoned the cart and was detained at the store. That information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony charge.

    The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.

Warrant Charges:  Delivery of a controlled substance (Meth)(F)

    Kari Sluder was taken into custody yesterday (May 21st) on an outstanding warrant for delivery of a controlled susbtance.

The warrant stems from an incident that took place on December 2nd of 2008 as part of an ongoing BANDIT narcotics investigation. On that date the suspects sold 3.5 grams of meth to a Boise Police Narcotics Detective. That information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony charge.
