Charges: Aggravated Assault (F), Burglary (F)
Boise Police officers following up on an incident from May 3rd arrested David Goodwin in a parking lot on the 500 block of North Liberty yesterday afternoon.
The arrest stems from an incident that took place on May 3rd. On that date Boise Police officers were dispatched to a fight on the 500 block of N. Liberty St. on Sunday, May 3rd, at approximately 9:23 p.m. Witnesses tell police that three suspects (two of which were arrested that day, see news release dated May 3rd) entered the victims home on Liberty with the intent to steal. Officers now have evidence that indicates that David Goodwin was one of the three suspects who entered the home. The suspects took a purse and other belongings from the home. At this point witnesses say the suspect exited his vehicle with a baseball bat and swung it at the victim in a threatening manner. Witnesses say that due to the David Goodwin's intoxicated state he failed to strike the victim with the bat and fled the scene.
Warrant Arrest: Jose M. Hernandez, 21, Boise (multiple aliases)
Warrant Charges: Possession with intent to deliver (F)
Boise Police arrested Jose Hernandez at a home on the 1900 block of Hampton Street early this morning at approximately 4:49 a.m. on an outstanding warrant charge.
The warrant charges stem from a traffic stop that took place at the intersection of South Vista and Elder streets in Boise on March 21st at approximately 3:00 a.m. Boise Police stopped a SUV on that date and time for failing to signal two turns and a lane change. During the stop, the suspect gave officers consent to search his vehicle. Officers recovered 36 grams of Marijuana and black tar pre-packaged into 5 plastic baggies. The suspect was arrested on DUI charges that night and officers gathered evidence indicating the illegal drugs had been intended for sale. That information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorneys Office and resulted in the felony arrest warrant.
