05-05-09 Drug trafficking charges; overnight arrests in Boise

    Boise, May 5th, 2009 - Drug Trafficking charges; overnight arrests in Boise


    Arrested: Jeremiah W. Jones, 19, Garden City

    Charges: Possession of Marijuana with intent to deliver (F), Probation Violation charges,

    Boise Police officers responded to a citizen complaint of possible drug activity at a hotel on north Milwaukee at approximately 7:00 p.m. last night. When the suspect opened the door to speak with officers the distinct odor of marijuana was strong. The suspect gave consent to search the room and officers recovered a bag full of marijuana. Officers also located several smaller baggies of marijuana, some full and some empty, along with scales. The total amount of marijuana recovered comes to approximately 6 ounces. The suspect was taken into custody on the delivery charge and also faces possible probation violation charges.



    Incident of note: Pedestrian Collision

    Boise Police responded to a collision involving a pedestrian at approximately 12:49 a.m. this morning on the 4000 block of State street. It appears at this time that an adult male was crossing the road and was struck by a car. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be serious injuries at the time. No citations have been issued at this time however, the investigation into this incident continues.
