04-29-09 Motel Robbery Suspect Sketch

04-29-09 Motel Robbery Suspect Sketch

Boise, April 29, 2009 - Boise Police Detectives are releasing a sketch of the suspect believed responsible for at least two recent robberies at local motels. Officers hope someone recognizes the suspect from the sketch and call police.

The robberies were both at the same downtown area motel, on the 3000 blk of Main Street. The first robbery occurred March 13th at 4:45 a.m., the second on April 10th at 1:35 a.m. Evidence in both cases leads detectives to believe the suspect is the same person. In both cases the victim, a motel clerk, told officers a man walked into the lobby and demanded cash. During one of the robberies, he pointed a black handgun at the victim.

Officers say the evidence on a third hotel robbery downtown on April 16th is similar, but detectives are not able to confirm it's the same suspect.

Suspect Description: light-medium skinned male, 35-45 yrs old, dark wavy hair, approx 5' 5" - 5’ 6” tall, heavy build 150 - 160 lbs., clean shaven, wearing a dark colored hooded zip up sweatshirt.

Anyone with any information on the crime or suspect is urged to call Boise area Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS. Callers can remain anonymous. Callers with information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
