Boise April 29th, 2009 - Felony Forgery charge tops the overnight arrests in Boise

------------

Arrested: Chelsea L. Rohrback, 25, Boise

Charges: Forgery (F)

Boise Police began to investigate a suspected case of forgery starting on April 15th, 2009 when a local business owner reported that funds had begun to disappear from a company account with false check numbers. Boise Police property crimes detectives began to trace the forged checks back to a suspect who continued to write checks and cash them at several local banks and businesses.

On April 28th at approximately 3:23 p.m. Boise Police officers located the suspect, later identified as Chelsea Rohrback, at a bank on the 800 block of East Park Center as she attempted to cash another forged check. The suspect was taken into custody and booked on the felony charge of forgery. In total, detectives believe the suspect cashed more than $3,000.00 worth of forged checks. The investigation continues and additional charges may be filed.
