04-17-09 Battery on an officer and drug charges top overnight arrests

    Boise April 16th, 2009 - Battery on an Officer, Drug Charges top overnight arrests in Boise

Arrested: Brian R. Gough, 27, Boise

Charges:
DUI- 3rd Offense (F), Battery on an officer (F)

    Boise Police officers on patrol early this morning at approximately 12:18 a.m. near Broadway and Highland observed a car driving with no headlights. The driver, later identified as Brian Gough, was stopped and contacted by police who detected the strong odor of alcohol. The suspect failed, and then refused various field sobriety tests. Boise Police, believing the man was intoxicated, took him to the Ada County jail for a blood alcohol test. At the jail, the suspect Gough became combative refusing to comply with officer's requests and physically resisting.

    The suspect then spit into the eye of one of the officers trying to control him, resulting in the Battery charge. The officer immediately felt burning in his eye and was taken to a nearby hospital, treated and released.

    When the suspect refused to cooperate further, blood was drawn to later determine his blood alcohol content and the suspect was booked into jail on a felony DUI charge do to two previous convictions.

    Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia (M), Possession of marijuana (M), Frequenting a place where drugs are used/sold (M)

    Arrested: Andrew D. Howard, 20, Meridian

    Charges: Frequenting a place where drugs are used/sold (M)

    Arrested: Derek J. Tuschoff, 23, Boise

    Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia (M), Frequenting a place where drugs are used/sold (M)

    Arrested: Joshua R. Taylor, 24, Boise

    Charges: Frequenting a place where drugs are used/sold (M)

    Arrested: Edward A. Myah, 25, Middleton

    Cited: Possession of a controlled substance (Mushrooms) (M)

    Boise Police Neighborhood Contact Officer for the Orchard area received information drugs were frequently being used at a home near Emerald and Orchard. After investigating, the officer received a search warrant for the home on the 5300 blk. of Fairmont St. The warrant was served last night (Thusday 4-16) at approximately 9:00 p.m. 

    Police found several people in the home with various drugs and paraphernalia present in plain sight. The search resulted in the recovery of a small amount of Meth, Marijuana, and other paraphernalia. Officers also recovered a baggie of psilocybin mushrooms in plain view on the seat of a vehicle parked in front of the residence. Multiple individuals located at the residence were arrested or cited for various drug related charges detailed above.

    Arrested: Kisha L. Sewell, 36, Boise

    Charges: Possession of a controlled substance (Meth) (F), Possession of paraphernalia (M), Probation Violation

    Boise Police officers assisted Idaho Probation and Parole agents on a search of a residence on the 3300 block of West Murano Street yesterday evening at approximately 6:30 p.m. During the search officers found a glass pipe containing a small amount of Meth. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
