Arrested: Jason D. Hartley, 18, Boise
Charges: Robbery (F)
Boise Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a theatre on the 7700 block of West Overland at approximately 10:15 p.m. last night, Monday, April 6th. Witnesses tell Police that an adult male entered the theater and displayed, in his waistband, what appeared to be a handgun (that later turned out to be a BB-gun) and demanded cash from theatre employees working the counter. Victims handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect who immediately left the building through a back door. Boise Police received multiple calls to 911 from witnesses and victims report the crime.
Officers who conducted an immediate search of the building and the surrounding area did not immediately locate the suspect. Since the suspect ran through the audience seating area of the theatre, officers and theatre management temporarily stopped the movie to search for the suspect, but he had left the building.
Witnesses were able to provide officers with identifying information about the suspect.
Following up on that information, Boise Police Officers located the suspect at a residence around midnight at a relatives home in southeast Boise. The BB-gun and cash were recovered by officers. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and booked on the felony charge of robbery.

Boise Police were dispatched to a report of a robbery at the corner of 8th and Hayes Streets at approximately 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 6th. The victim, who called 911, told officers he was walking in the area when he was stopped by a man who apparently lived nearby. The suspect, later identified as Foster, began demanding that the victim turn over his Ipod. The victim states that the suspect appeared to be intoxicated and made verbal threats as he demanded the item. The victim handed over his Ipod to the suspect. The victim states that the suspect then hit him with a closed fist before the victim could run away and call police.
Boise Police patrol officers located the suspect at a home on the 900 block of Hayes street. Officers found the Ipod inside the home. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and booked on the felony robbery charge.
Arrested: Jared A. Johnson, 19, Boise
Charges: Aggravated Assault (F), Battery (M)
Boise Police responded to a reported battery that had just occurred on the 10000 block of West Flintlock Drive in Boise at approximately 6:30 p.m. yesterday, Monday, April 6th. Officers were told by the victim that he went to the home of a friend when another resident of the home, later identified as Jared Johnson, began yelling at the victim and slapped him on the face. The suspect then went into the home and returned with a steel pipe that he swung at the suspect, but did not strike him according to witnesses. The suspect then allegedly punched the victim in the face. Witnesses called police and officers located the suspect, still at the home. The suspect arrested without incident on the above listed charges.
Arrested: Devin M. Bowermaster, 19, Boise
Charges: Driving under the influence DUI (M), Driving Without Privileges (M), Grand Theft (F), Fraudulent use of a credit card (M), probation violation
Boise Police Patrol Officers observed a vehicle with canceled registration and conducted a traffic stop at the corner of Hilton and Kootenai Streets at approximately 3:09 a.m. this morning. When Officers contacted the driver, they smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person. The driver, later identified as Devin Bowermaster, failed field sobriety tests and blew a .14 Blood Alcohol Content at the jail. The suspect was booked on the DUI and DWP charges.
Boise Police also found during their investigation, that the suspect Bowermaster was wanted for theft and stolen credit card charges in connection with the theft of a wallet reported to police March 22nd. from a home in Boise's north end. Evidence indicates that on that date the suspect took the wallet and used the credit cards to make purchases at a retail store and a gas station. In addition to the DUI and DWP charges, the suspect was also booked for Grand Theft and Fraudulent use of a credit card.
