Boise Police have arrested an employee from embezzling more than $8,000 from the bookkeeping company he worked for.
Arrested: Andrew J. Duncan 29, Boise
Charges: Grand Theft (F)
In late January, a local bookkeeping company reported funds missing during several financial transactions over the previous three month period. Investigation revealed that a Boise man working for the company would edit paperwork to redirect part of the funds to his own bank account. The suspect made 12 confirmed transactions totaling more than $8,000.00
Arrested: Braden Thomas Barnes, 24, Boise
Charges: Burglary (F)
On December 14th, 2008, a home owner in the neighborhood of Myrtle & 9th near downtown Boise, reported a burglary at her residence during which a laptop computer, video games, a camera and other personal items had been stolen. The next day several of the items where recovered from a local pawn shop. After investigating, officers have arrested a suspect, Barnes. At this time, have not linked Barnes to any other crimes but officers continue to investigate.
