Boise, Dec. 29, 2008 - Boise Police and Fire Investigators are on scene of an apartment fire on the 2500 blk of S. Gatewood Lane in West Boise (NE of Victory & Cloverdale) trying to determine the cause of three separate fires all reported in the past 24 hours to the same address.
Responding crews from the Boise Fire Department immediately called for investigators, recognizing this as the third fire call to the same address.
"We don't know if or how the causes of these fires might be related. That's what the investigators will find out." said Battalion Chief J.D. Ellis of the Boise Fire Department. "Fortunately, our firefighters were able to respond quickly and keep the damage confined to the one unit. Thankfully, residents were also out of the units when firefighters arrived so no one was hurt."
The unit involved is part of a four-plex. Today's fire resulted in damage to a upstairs bedroom. Two fires reported resulted in minor damage to the downstairs living area.
Again, investigators are on scene trying to determine the cause of the fire. No cause or connection to either of the three fires has been determined.
